สรุปผลรางวัลออสการ์ 2023 ความฝันที่เป็นจริงของชาวเอเชีย Everything Everywhere All At Once กวาดรางวัลใหญ่ ภาพยนตร์ นำหญิง สมทบชายหญิงยอดเยี่ยม
งานรางวัลออสการ์ ประจำปี 2023 หรือ Academy Awards ครั้งที่ 95th เพิ่งจบไปเมื่อไม่กี่ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา และแน่นอนว่าภาพยนตร์ที่เป็นที่พูดถึงมากที่สุดคือ Everything Everywhere All At Once ตัวเต็งของปี ที่นอกจากจะได้รับการเสนอชื่อเข้าชิงมากที่สุดถึง 11 รางวัล และกวาดไปได้รวม 7 รางวัล นับเป็นชัยชนะที่ยิ่งใหญ่ของชาวเอเชียบนเวทีออสการ์ นับตั้งแต่ Parasite ได้รับรางวัลไปเมื่อปี 2020
ในเรื่องมิเชลรับบทเป็น เอเวอร์ลีน หวัง ชาวจีนที่อพยพมาเป็นเจ้าของร้านซักรีด ซึ่งเธอคิดเสมอว่าถ้าหากเธอไม่หนีออกจากบ้าน ไม่ได้แต่งงานกับสามีคนนี้ หรือไม่ได้ทำแบบที่เคยทำ ชีวิตอาจจะดีกว่านี้ก็ได้ ซึ่งอยู่มาวันหนึ่ง เธอก็พบว่าทางเลือกเหล่านั้นได้มีอยู่จริง ๆ แต่เป็นในจักรวาลคู่ขนานอื่น ๆ ตัวภาพยนตร์พูดถึงชีวิตของผู้หญิง เชื้อชาติ ความหวัง ความฝัน และวิถีชีวิตปกติของผู้อพยพในอเมริกา
มิเชลเคยให้สัมภาษณ์ไว้ก่อนหน้านี้ว่า “.. สมมุติว่าฉันเล่นเป็นมาดามมอริเบิลในเรื่องวิค ซึ่งตามปกติต้องเป็นบทของคนขาว ความฝันของฉันคือมันจะไม่มีบทที่ถูกกำกับว่าต้องเล่นโดยนักแสดงชาวเอเชีย ชาวแอฟริกันอเมริกัน ชาวโน่น ชาวนี่ แต่ตราบใดที่คุณมีความสามารถมากพอ คุณก็จะได้รับโอกาสในการเข้าถึงบทนั้น ซึ่งฉันก็หวังว่านี่จะเป็นสิ่งที่เปลี่ยนแปลงทุกอย่าง มันต้องเป็นแล้วล่ะ”
ความฝันอาจจะเคยดูเป็นสิ่งเพ้อฝัน แต่วันนี้ ‘ความฝัน’ กลับเป็นของสำคัญ โดยเฉพาะเมื่อ มิเชล โหย่ว พูดถึงเรื่องนี้บนเวที
“สำหรับเด็กชายและเด็กหญิงทุกคนที่ดูฉันอยู่ในค่ำคืนนี้ รางวัลนี้เป็นแสงแห่งความหวังและความเป็นไปได้ นี่คือสิ่งที่พิสูจน์ว่าถ้าฝันให้ไกล มันจะเป็นจริงได้ในซักวัน และผู้หญิงทั้งหลาย อย่าให้ใครบอกว่าคุณได้ผ่านช่วงเวลาที่ดีที่สุดในชีวิตไปแล้ว … อย่ายอมหมดหวัง”
ด้าน โจนาธาน คี ควาน ผู้ได้รับรางวัลสมทบชายยอดเยี่ยม จาก Everything Everywhere All At Once ได้กล่าวตอกย้ำถึงความสำเร็จของชาวเอเชียอย่างเขา ผ่านสปีชในค่ำคืนที่น่าจดจำนี้ว“แม่ ผมเพิ่งชนะรางวัลออสการ์ การผจญภัยของผมเริ่มต้นขึ้นบนเรือ ผมใช้เวลานับปีในค่ายอพยพ และด้วยอะไรสักอย่างผมก็ได้มาอยู่บนเวทีที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในฮอลลีวูด เขาบอกว่าเรื่องราวแบบนี้เกิดขึ้นแต่ในหนัง ผมไม่อยากจะเชื่อว่าเรื่องแบบนี้เกิดขึ้นกับตัวเอง นี่ นี่มันคืออเมริกันดรีม!”
ซึ่งความสำเร็จในวันนี้ของ Everything Everywhere All At Once ก็สะท้อนความสำเร็จการเปลี่ยนไปของวงการภาพยนตร์ในช่วงที่ความหลากหลายเพิ่มมากขึ้นอย่างเห็นได้ชัดเจน จากนี้ต้องจับตาดูว่าในระยะยาว บทบาทของชาวเอชียในวงการภาพยนตร์ระดับโลกจะเพิ่มขึ้นมากจริงหรือไม่ หรือจะเป็นแค่เพียงกระแสที่ส่งผลให้นักแสดงเอเชียบางส่วนติดลมบน และพัดผ่านไปสำหรับ ภาพยนตร์และทีมงาน นักแสดงคนอื่น ๆ
